Together we see more: Identify and assess hereditary eye diseases with genetic testing
Hereditary eye diseases are characterized by high genetic heterogeneity and phenotypic overlaps. Our genetic testing offers an efficient way to differentiate between these diseases. We combine precise genetic testing with clinical interpretation. This results in relevant information for individual treatment and therapy. In addition, genetic testing is the key to understanding the hereditary pattern and to being able to better assess the prognosis of the disease. Therefore, a genetic report is the basis for genetic counselling and can help with family planning. Another benefit: Patients can get access to new therapies. A number of therapies are currently in clinical trials - for example for patients with hereditary retinal diseases.
