Genetic disorders of the brain
Neurological diseases that may have a genetic cause include
- Parkinson's disease
- Frontotemporal dementia
- Alzheimer's disease
- Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis
- Familial hemiplegic migraine
- Hereditary spastic paraplegia
- Periodic paralysis
In addition, malformations of the brain may be part of a syndrome. A comprehensive neurological examination should precede genetic testing. We offer corresponding panels for the individual syndromes.
